TEI 6720
- Febuxostat- Soluble in DMSO
- MF: C16H16N2O3S
- MW: 316.37
Description
TEI 6720 (Febuxostat) is a non-purine, selective xanthine oxidase inhibitor. It is used to study uric acid production, purine metabolism and XO-dependent oxidative processes.
Xanthine oxidase converts hypoxanthine and xanthine to uric acid and contributes to reactive oxygen species generation. TEI 6720 is relevant for hyperuricemia, gout and oxidative metabolism research.
Key Features
- Selective xanthine oxidase inhibitor
- Non-purine XO inhibitor
