Description
Ibetazol is an inhibitor of importin β1-mediated nuclear import. Ibetazol interacts covalently with cysteine 585 in importin β1, and thereby effectively prohibits both direct and adaptor (importin α) protein-dependent importin β1-mediated nuclear import.
