L67
- Soluble in DMSO
- MF: C16H14Br2N4O4
- MW: 486.11
Description
L67 is a cytotoxic inhibitor of DNA ligase I and DNA ligase III. It binds the DNA-binding domain of human DNA ligase I, inhibiting DNA binding and ligation reactions.
DNA ligases I and III are essential for DNA replication, base excision repair and repair of strand breaks. L67 is useful for studying DNA repair vulnerability and sensitization of cancer cells to DNA-damaging agents.
Key Features
- DNA ligase I/III inhibitor
- Reported IC50 values: 10 µM for both DNA ligase I and DNA ligase III
- Interferes with DNA binding and ligation by hLigI
- Sensitizes cancer cells to DNA repair stress in reported studies
Applications
- DNA ligase enzyme pharmacology
- DNA repair pathway studies
- Cancer cell chemosensitization assays
- Replication and strand-break repair research
