Description

PluriSIn #1 is a stearoyl-CoA desaturase 1 (SCD1) inhibitor identified as a pluripotent cell-specific inhibitor. It selectively eliminates undifferentiated human pluripotent stem cells by disrupting oleic acid biosynthesis and lipid metabolism.

Residual undifferentiated hPSCs can pose safety concerns in differentiation workflows. PluriSIn #1 is useful for studying lipid metabolic dependencies of pluripotent cells and for removing undifferentiated hPSCs from mixed cultures.

Key Features

  • SCD1 inhibitor
  • Blocks oleic acid biosynthesis
  • Selectively eliminates undifferentiated human pluripotent stem cells
  • Useful for pluripotency-dependent lipid metabolism studies

Applications

  • hPSC culture quality control
  • Stem-cell differentiation workflows
  • Pluripotent cell elimination assays
  • Lipid metabolism research
