PluriSIn #1
- NSC 14613 - Pluripotent cell-specific inhibitor #1- Soluble in DMSO and EtOH
- MF: C12H11N3O
- MW: 213.24
Description
PluriSIn #1 is a stearoyl-CoA desaturase 1 (SCD1) inhibitor identified as a pluripotent cell-specific inhibitor. It selectively eliminates undifferentiated human pluripotent stem cells by disrupting oleic acid biosynthesis and lipid metabolism.
Residual undifferentiated hPSCs can pose safety concerns in differentiation workflows. PluriSIn #1 is useful for studying lipid metabolic dependencies of pluripotent cells and for removing undifferentiated hPSCs from mixed cultures.
Key Features
- SCD1 inhibitor
- Blocks oleic acid biosynthesis
- Selectively eliminates undifferentiated human pluripotent stem cells
- Useful for pluripotency-dependent lipid metabolism studies
Applications
- hPSC culture quality control
- Stem-cell differentiation workflows
- Pluripotent cell elimination assays
- Lipid metabolism research
