Description
HMR 1031 is a potent antagonist of integrin α4β1, also known as very late antigen-4 (VLA-4).
VLA-4 binding to VCAM-1 and fibronectin mediates leukocyte adhesion, trafficking and inflammatory tissue infiltration. HMR 1031 is useful for studying integrin-dependent immune-cell migration and pharmacological blockade of cell-adhesion pathways.
