Description
Reboxetine mesylate is a selective noradrenaline/norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (NARI/NRI) that blocks norepinephrine transporter (NET)-mediated uptake.
NET controls synaptic norepinephrine availability and contributes to attention, arousal, mood and autonomic regulation. Reboxetine is useful for studying noradrenergic transporter pharmacology and catecholamine-dependent CNS signaling.
Key Features
- Selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor
- Targets norepinephrine transporter (NET/SLC6A2)
- Increases noradrenergic signaling in uptake assays
- Useful reference compound for NARI pharmacology
Applications
- NET uptake assays
- Noradrenergic neurotransmission research
- Catecholamine transporter selectivity studies
- Mood and attention pathway models
