Description
DFPQ is a potent and selective β-arrestin-biased negative allosteric modulator (NAM) for the β2-adrenergic receptor. DFPQ selectively inhibits β-arrestin interaction with the β2AR without affecting β-agonist-promoted cAMP production. DFPQ attenuates functional desensitization of the β2AR in airway smooth muscle, augmenting the ability of β-agonists to sustain bronchorelaxation and inhibition of cell migration under conditions of chronic β-agonist treatment.
