Kinases (Dual Specificity)

Protein kinases fall into three broad classes, characterised with respect to substrate specificity: Serine/threonine-protein kinases, Tyrosine-protein kinases, and Dual specificity protein kinases (e.g. MEK - phosphorylates both Thr and Tyr on target proteins)[1].
