Sandalore

Description

Sandalore, a synthetic sandalwood odorant, is a selective agonist of the olfactory receptor OR2AT4, thereby inducing the increase of the intracellular Ca2+ and cAMP levels in human keratinocytes. Specific stimulation of OR2AT4 by Sandalore prolongs human hair growth ex vivo by decreasing apoptosis and increasing production of the anagen-prolonging growth factor IGF-1.
