JSH 23

Description

Inhibitor of NF-κB transcription and nuclear translocation of p65 (IC50 value 7.1 µM for inhibition of LPS-induced NF-κB transcriptional activity) without affecting IκBα degradation, which is a very rare mode of action. JSH 23 inhibited not only LPS-induced expressions of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6 and inducible nitric oxide synthase and cyclooxygenase-2 but also LPS-induced apoptosis of the RAW 264.7 cells.
JSF 23 also inhibits NO production in LPS-stimulated macrophages RAW 264.7 (IC50 value 14.4 µM).
