Biological Activity:
KATP channel blocker; HMR 1098 acts by inactivating the ATP-sensitive potassium channels (KATP) responsible for potassium efflux. HMR 1098 is an inhibitor of Kir6.2/SUR1-composed K(ATP) channels.
